can you tell it's a chain?

These perfect, miniature crescent moons turning away from each other are made by a large hanging chain along the sidewalk near my house. You have to catch it at just the right time of day and when you do, it's pretty magical. But it's still a chain. And there are still connotations. And when it's not the right time of day, you will likely look at the chain and think, simply, why?

So at the right time of day, you take a photo and thank the sun for doing it's incredible work from ninety-three million miles away. The work of turning the ugly, bulky steel loops with their reputation of shackling and torturing into peaceful, winky moons. If only for a moment.
